Jul 19, 2026

UM 101 is the Basic Course in Lay Servant Ministries and a perfect introduction for anyone who wants to learn more about the United Methodist Church and what it means to be a layperson actively engaged in ministry.

Through this course, participants will explore the three core areas of Ministries - Leading, Caring, and Communicating -while also discovering how faith is lived out in everyday life and how sharing our own stories can become a powerful witness to God's work in the world.

Whether you are new to the United Methodist Church, considering deeper involvement in ministry, or simply seeking to grow in your faith, UM 101 offers a welcoming place to learn, ask questions, and connect with others.

The course will be taught by Pastor Jaye and Pastor Gayle in five two-hour sessions beginning Sunday, July 19 at 2:00 pm at Crossroads.

No prior experience is necessary—just a desire to learn, grow, and serve.

Come discover our heritage, our mission, and the many ways God calls ordinary people to extraordinary ministry.
